The Call Your Mom installation in Doing Things For Other People revisits a segment from our 2016 show, THIS CLOSE. The piece, Don't Touch Me, explores ways in which people navigate space and distinguish what we see as personal from that which is communal. It humorously pokes at spacial frustration and dysfunction. By limiting their vocabulary, Call Your Mom is able to communicate these ideas in a way that is physically playful and verbally succinct. This adaptation is a sculptural exploration of those same ideas.
